<strong>Noah </strong>- Sounds like wishful thinking on your part to me. Because Camby isn't defending the rim guys will play better defense - come on. Not sure where you are from but on this blog we have watched Allen Iverson play here in Philly for a very very long time, he isn't going to all of a sudden change the gambling style of defense he has been playing his entire career. We love him here but we also recognize where he isn't as strong and keeping guys in front consistently was not at the top of the list of strengths for him. Now without one of the best shot blockers in the NBA back there cleaning up that fact will be amplified.

My friend Pete has this infatuation with the Timberwolves this season, but I think Denver will be 3rd in the division.

<blockquote>"the other players became lazy on D because of him"</blockquote>
Doesn't that say a lot about the type of players on this team? If they were true winners "becoming lazy" wouldn't be part of their DNA.

Melo and dre took the team to the playoffs almost by themselves in 03. You guys are underestimating this team. Camby was a great shot blocker and I loved him, but the other players became lazy on D because of him. Also he couldn't defend the center position. So you will see. The denver nuggets will in fact be an IMPROVED defensive team. They still wont be good, but theyll be better. And they may not make the playoffs, but 4th in the division? Please.

Kavan - They got swept in the first round of the playoffs last season, lost a key player and didn't make any substantial additions. How are they all of a sudden contenders?

I'm not sure if you noticed but the Nuggets are preparing to rebuild that entire team. Moving Camby was just the first step. Next will be not resigning Allen Iverson after this season. That will likely leave Melo, Nene, Smith, Martin and maybe Kleiza.

You guys are beyond crazy if you believe the nuggs wont make the playoffs... In fact you will grow to realize the nuggs are legit contenders for the ship... Yes i said it. Yes we lost Camby and at first i almost had an heart attack but i like how the roster is shaping up with the addition of balkman, andersen and jones we have multiple defenders and rebounders thought not one of these guys by themselves can compare to Camby together they bring defense rto multiple positions instead of one. Also the nuggs realise they suck on defensive so they have being correcting it all off season so expect to see more focus on the defensive end and to top it off Carmelo is ready to have is mvp like season he may not win it but as long as he is a mvp candidate at the end of the season the nuggs will be the suprise of the league... oh did i mention ALLEN IVERSON need i say more

Dannie, you need to get back to talking sixers. Since you began this 30 team review there have been sxer blogs birthed everywhere. And there talking hardcore sixer basketball. I always check here, because you were one of the few blogs along with depressed that remained after Marc took his keyboard and went home. O know that the Phillies are in the playofff, but dont forget about the sixers dogg.

Now there is talk according to the <a href="http://blogs.indystar.com/pacersinsider/archives/2008/10/no_tinsley_deal.html" rel="nofollow">IndyStar.com saying that NO such deal is made</a>!!

Then again, Vecsey has been incorrect on many occasions. We'll be on the lookout before the regular season begins!!

According to Peter Vecsey (New York Post), the Nuggets would acquire Jamaal Tinsley from the Pacers in exchange for Chucky Atkins and Steven Hunter!!
