Sixers vs. Knicks: Time to Start Defending
Got that first win out of the way, in front of the home crowd no less. Now let's keep it going against the Knicks. This game will have a much different feel than last night. The Bucks are offensively inept. That plays right into the Sixers weakness as they are still trying to figure out what winning defense looks and feels like. Last night the Bucks were able to hang with the Sixers and even build a little lead. But they were done in by their inability to keep putting points on the … [Read more...]
Sixers Home Opener vs. the Milwaukee Bucks
Guys I am a little under the weather but I wanted to something where you can chat during and after the game. Luckily for the Sixers the Phillies have an off day so there might actually be some supporters at the game and watching on TV - but not many. Right now the Sixers need to really earn the trust and time of Philadelphia sports fans who have plenty of other local sports action to keep them occupied. Tonight needs to be the start of swaying some folks over to OTHER red, blue and white … [Read more...]
World Series Game 2 Chat
Based on what I've been reading last night and into this morning, it appears as though Phillies' fans, Yankees' fans and many media members have completely forgotten that this is a 7-games series. Don't get me wrong - the Game 1 win was huge (11 of the last 12 World Series have been won by the Game 1 winner), BUT there is a tremendous amount of work left to be done, and it won't be easy. I know from my perspective, hearing Yankees' fans arrogant remarks and Media members clueless remarks … [Read more...]
Just Forget the Sixers Played Their First Game
That is the best advice I can give. Because if you don't take it and try to analyze the game you will walk away depressed with a feeling of hopelessness. Why you ask? Well number one the final score is dangerously misleading. The 99% of Philly fans who didn't watch and were focused on the Phillies might look at the score and say "oh we only lost by 14 to the defending Eastern Conference champs." Um, no. We technically lost by 14 but the game was a 20 point blow from the second … [Read more...]
World Series Game 1 Chat
Well, after what seems like an eternity, Game 1 is finally here. We've been going back and forth about who has the edge here, who has the edge there, but in the end, these teams are so evenly matched, it's probably just going to come down to who is the hotter team for the next week. Game 1 pits two of the best lefties in game against one another, and I think the outcome will be decided by who takes advantage of the limited opportunities they will likely have. Each team will have 2-3 chances … [Read more...]
Sixers vs. Orlando: I Feel Bad for the 76ers Tonight

How can you not feel bad for them? Their season opener get's smashed over the head with an anvil that is our Phillies taking on the "Skanks" in game one of the World Series. That's on top of the second class citizen treatment this team gets in a town that typically bleeds green 365 days of the year up until last year's Phillies run. Even if their were high expectations for the Sixers and a new, well-liked and undisputed superstar on the roster this opening night game would go … [Read more...]
