Brown is STILL turning heads with another great day in Clearwater.

3-3, 2 HRs (1 off Verlander), 3 RBI, a bases-loaded infield single, and a walk.

He’s piling up the nicknames too. Werth has called him “The Future” and now Howard is calling him the “The Total Package”.

Great to hear about young players getting their shot in the spring. I hope he can make it to the big leagues pretty quick. Sounds like he could be a real special player, I’ll keep an eye on him.

One thing for sure, this is taking Brown’s confidence north. Can anyone recall a player that was ticketed for the minors said to have a bright future that forced his team to take him north because of an outstanding spring? I’m not suggesting that occurs here, I just can’t think of a player it happened with even though I assume it has.

I can’t wait for this kid to shine. I really had my concerns about getting rid of Taylor and I still do, especially if we lose Werth, but Brown just seems like all the makings of another home grown stud. Great Stuff Pete! I am done talking Eagles for a while. They better be rebuilding that is all i will say.
