Guest Posting on Recliner GM

So you want to guest post on Recliner GM?

Great! Here’s a little bit about what makes a strong Recliner GM guest post.

Insightful Analysis

Breaking down the stats of the game, expressing what they mean in a way that every reader not only understands but enjoys is a staple of this blog.

Now, it’s not a requirement to write about sabermetrics, advanced basketball stats or any stats at all necessarily. But whatever argument or point you intend to make in your post must be researched and backed-up in some way.

Entertaining and Thought-Provoking

The first part is obvious. No one wants to read a dry, boring article. That’s why injecting your personality into your writing is a great way to be interesting. And that is exactly what we want – diverse perspectives.

Combine your own point of view on a topic with thought-provoking questions promotes comments and community. That’s the best part of this blog by far.

Well-Written and PG-13

We’ll proof everything before we publish it, but it would be nice if you cleaned it up before sending it to us.

While we sometimes curse, we don’t make a habit of it. Neither should you. Yes, passion does take hold of everyone when discussion sports so the very occasional swear is acceptable. But express your point without doing so is preferred.

Recliner GM Topics

It’s obvious we are a Philly sports blog. So the blog posts we would love to have should focus on these four core areas:

  • Phillies
  • Sixers
  • Eagles
  • Big 5 College Basketball

We are especially looking for Eagles and Big 5 basketball writers who can contribute on a regular basis.

If you have a insightful, entertaining and well-written post, on one of those topics here’s the next step…

Email us via the contact form and let us know what you’d like to write about and why you think Recliner GM readers would enjoy it.

Please be patient with us. Some days we’ve got a lot on our plates and we can’t answer email as quickly as we would like. But we’ll get back to you as soon as possible and let you know if we’d like to move forward.
