"Done-uh-vin Mic-Nay-yib" looks comfortable and good so far. Is he in for a monster 4000 yd., 30 TD year or will the passage of time catch up and tackle him for a loss? Eagles, short of receivers? Remember, Johnny Unitas made Jimmy Orr a household name. Of course, Lenny Moore, Raymond Berry and John Mackey added a little spice.

Andy Reid: Yes, he's 8-6 in playoff games. Why, then, do I think of Ed Khayat and Marion Campbell when I think of him?
Charisma doesn't hail from Utah, excepting Jim McMahon and the Osmonds.

I like the Saints as well so I am with Pete. Dallas looks like the clear cut favorite but how can we pick them on this blog.

I think the Birds will be good, but I won't be on the Super Bowl bandwagon until I see 5 play a couple games with this receiving core and see if the defense can create turnovers.

Very nicely done, Pete. I can't see much to quibble about. As is the case every year, I'm sure there will be a couple teams that under perform and a couple others who will surprise. It's usually difficult to see either one coming.

Since this is kind of the NFL season kickoff on the blog, I feel I must get something out in the open. I am a Steelers fan, and always have been. I was 8 back in 1975 when they won their first super bowl, and I was hooked. C'mon, the black and gold, the US Steel logo, Bradshaw, Harris, Bleier, Webster, Swan, Stallworth, Ham, Lambert, Blount, Greenwood, Greene, Shell, the steel curtain , the terrible towel...you can't blame an 8 year old for loving all that.

The Eagles are definitely my NFC team. I like them, I watch them, and I follow them pretty closely, but my heart is in Pittsburgh. Just though you should know.

Hey Beantowners! So who thinks the AFC ticket runs through Foxboro this year? I do! I mean come on! The best WR and QB in the NFL reside on the same sideline, not to mention the smartest coach since…well lets just say they should rename the Lombardi trophy! I love LMoney in the backfield but watch out for that fiesty Lamont Jordan catching a few passes here as well. Yes, the D is getting elderly, but that doesnt mean it’s not good!!! I’m sure a loss or even three is possible but the AFC should run it’s path through a blood thirsty Patriots team.
