Sixers Rematch With Chicago - DO IT RIGHT THIS TIME!

by Dannie

Let’s just hope this doesn’t happen again!

I really don’t want to get so much enjoyment at the expense of the Sixers.  I still can’t stop laughing at that.  I’m sorry it was nasty.  Looked like Miller broke his ankle literally.

Many people are talking about line up changes and stuff.  Look that isn’t the problem.  Iguodala is under performing.  Lou Williams is under performing drastically.  Sammy is the picture of inconsistency.  Andre Miller is shooting below average.  Mo Cheeks coaching is well below average.  There is no leader on this team.  And most importantly the Sixers effort, energy and grit have been sorely lacking on a consistent basis.

They could be grinding out ugly win, after ugly win during the time they are trying to figure out their offensive issues and chemistry issues.  So for me that is no longer an excuse for all the losing.  Just dig in, MAN UP, get more physical and out effort the guy opposing you.  It pisses me off to no end when I see Sixer players bending over to get loose balls when the other team is diving on the floor.  This team has shown no heart, no pride and it pains me to watch them.

Good luck Sixers - you are going to need it the way you have been playing so far.

I am not even looking forward to watching the game, I don’t think I have ever felt this way before. I am used to the Sixers losing, but not without a fight till the end.

the next 7 games look pretty tough for us.   i think our 7-10 record makes us look better than we are.   we have had an easy schedule.   wait until the lakeshow comes to town.
chicago, lake, detroit, nj, cle, cle, wash.   i think we will be lucky to win 2 of these games - maybe chicago and washington.   but thats optimistic.  i think we go 1-6 and will be 8-16

Dannie, I agree about your effort comment; we just want them to show us they care. That would be a start.

I hate Samuel Dalembert.    He’s soft, stupid, always out of position, and frankly he is a pussy.  When was the last time that he put someone on there butt?   The sooner we make this offense revolve between Thad and Brand the sooner we start winning.  And when I say revolve around Thad,  I’m talking giving him 10 postups a game and generally calling more plays for him then anyone else.  Let iggy be the guy who gets his 12-14 pts without having plays called for him.

And as for anyone saying that they don’t wont watch anymore because they suck,  go root for the Lakers and leave us diehards alone.

And anyone WHO SUGGESTS THAT WE SHOULD HAVE THAD COMING OFF THE BENCH has a worse basketall IQ then Sammy.  Thats the meanest thing i could ever say, honestly though the thought of benching your best player and future dream teamer is crazy.

i thought i may eat crow when the sixers came out playing so well.   but i have a saying that goes like this, “Up 15 and hanging by a thread” .    this summarizes the sixers this year.   i have no faith when they have a lead because it is usually a matter of time before they give it back.    miller should only be shooting jumpshots when he gets the ball wide open or the clock is winding down.   he keeps pulling for jumpers with 15+ on the clock and w/o making one pass across 1/2 court.    so many simple things can be improved

Stinkadala really tried to give this one away by firing off bad jumpers (and praying as the announcer say) with 3minutes left and turning the ball over in crunchtime.    we nearly blew a 7 point lead.  this guy cant be serious with his blunders at the end.    its a good thing Miller and Brand were able to get key buckets when needed in OT.    what kind of play was that to end regulation ?   Stinkadala laying it off to andre miller for a long 3? ????

the 26 points off TOs were great,  but im not too excited that this is a trend becuse a number of those were unforced.

Maybe its because of what we have been seeing lately but I thought that was a great basketball game tonight, good defensive effort tonight for most of the game and the offense looked better too. Mo pulled out the 3 guard weave, what!s next, the picket fence?

Kudos to Willie for his defense on Gordon, he wasn!t shooting it great but Mo couldn!t  take him off the floor, L.Will., did you here me???
