Sixers vs. Cleveland: More Blowouts to Come

Rumors are swirling right now about Eddie Jordan.   The latest suggests the decision to fire him will be made shortly and that could mean terminating him before the end of the season.   I really don’t see the point in keeping him.  Sure he sucks and his helping the team lose, but that doesn’t have to change does it?

Fire him now and have a full month to do player evaluation.  Not about winnings games anymore, just tons of minutes for young players.  Stop wasting everyone’s time with Jordan’s incompetence. I swear everyone is getting dumber each time he coaches.

If you keep Jordan he is still going to play veterans and try to win games.  He recently said Jodie Meeks is the 11 man on the team and he isn’t going to force him into the line-up.  This doesn’t make sense since the Sixers are apparently high on the kid and want to see him play.  Eddie Jordan is being insubordinate to that end.  Fire the clown and get moving.

Cavs tonight with a well rested LeBron James back in action.  Tune in for another blowout.

This is your game thread.

  1. Randolph says:

I’ll say it. That 1st qtr was very entertaining!

  2. Dannie says:

    They have LeBron guarding Jrue

  3. Morty says:

Jrue really knows, unlike pretty much every other wing player on this team, how to get around a screen.

  4. Dannie says:

Sixers playing up to the competition and Cavs playing down (defensively).

  5. Morty says:

Earlier today, speaking with a buddy, I called Igoudala a homeless man’s LeBron, and he must be trying to prove me wrong.

  6. Morty says:

Dannie: Exactly, fairly good game to watch through.

  7. Dannie says:

Morty – Yeah first competitive game vs. an interesting opponent.

Eddie Jordan is coaching for his job right now.

  8. Dannie says:

Come on LeBron stop shooting threes!

  9. Dannie says:

LeBron didn’t come to play at all.  He has taken 10 threes this game and missed 6 free throws.  Demeanor is suggests disinterests.

  10. Dannie says:

Good effort Sixers.  Perfect game.  Very competitive resulting in a loss.

  11. Morty says:

Can’t complain about the game. Good loss.

Can Jrue improve his decision making – will that come with time? If so, the Sixers have their PG.

… and if Toyota could regulate their accelerators, they’d be a sound buy.

Geekadala soared from the phone booth tonight … two down-palmed arms
outstretched, cape a-trailin’.  But what will he do without Lebron powder in vicinity next week?

  13. jjg says:

“I think we’re just as good as Cleveland.” ~ Thaddeus Young

Proof that, as a thinker, the soft, swift, agile, twirling ”power forward” is truly a rambling wreck from Georgia Tech.  Such a statement should propel a trade.

  14. Dannie says:

Yeah that comment went past confidence directly into delusional.

  15. Dannie says:

I also found it interesting that his preceding comments were all about Jrue and that he is a rookie and supposing that’s the only difference between the Sixers and the best team in the NBA, having a rookie point vs. a veteran point.

  16. jjg says:

Thad must’ve have forgotten that Shaq & Jamison were out.

And Brand thinks Iguodala may jump higher than Lebron.

Sixers:  a team with many of its members out of touch with reality.  And they perform accordingly most nights.

  17. sfw says:

Foul shots down the stretch killed us. We needed the loss anyway.

  18. Garvey says:

Yeah the Sixers players got a tremendous confidence boost because they lost to the NBA’s best squad by only 5. While they are so fixated on that fact, the NBA’s best team keeps it moving to the next game. Sixers have a shameless loser mentality.

And “C’Mon Son” @ Brand & Thad. I’m thinking a straightjacket would fit Thad this offseason for that comment. And EB, I’ve never seen Iggy EYE LEVEL with the rim…LeBron did that in high school.

  19. jjg says:

2 ill-advised passes (both Iguodala & Holiday leaving their feet, thus, leaving no options and helping the defense do its duty) in final two possessions with game on line put nails in coffin.  85-80 lead to 100-95 defeat.  Outscored 20-10 in last 5 minutes.  The serious business of crunch time:  when true colors surface.

  20. deepsixersuede says:

Cleveland may have found a new way to play; in the last week they played Hickson at the 5 and Jamieson at the 4 and looked scary running the floor. Without Shaq and Z plodding up the floor they can run teams off the floor.

  21. jjg says:

Another center who wore #13 from University of Kansas was Cavs’ first ever leading scorer.  If lean, lanky Walt Wesley just sprang to your mind, you’ve earned an autographed Larry Brown carpetbag or a used pair of low black Cons signed by Jo Jo White.

  22. The Real Rob says:

Missing free throws came back to bite the Sixers in what was supposed to be a streak of defeating “eventual” Champions  (2008-Boston,  2009- LA Lakers).
