Imo, Stefanski missed the boat when he passed (or went light) on opportunities to add Ben Gordon or Zach Randolph or Michael Redd.
Sixers are missing a halfcourt 'dial up' shooter that abbreviates droughts and closes games. Can get by with present "athletic" make-up until the playoffs, at which point basketball acumen/ability and overall toughness (physical & mental) take over.

Ryan F- I write with a lot of Sixers energy and adrenaline. That is as brief as I will ever be, believe it or not!

Will Jamal Crawford be playing this evening for the Warriors? I doubt it, but you never know.

Prediction: SIXERS by 5.

Sorry guys this is gonna be a long one

Iguodala vs. Thad - There are a couple reasons why I like Thad coming off the bench more, and I the only con I can see bringing either one off the bench is 1st team firepower, but that doesn't really scare me. No matter the stats, Iguodala to me is still the best player on this team. I know he is having a troubled start, but he is making some adjustments while trying to prove to fans he's woth his contract, and he will start to have more games like Fri night. Thad would be the best because of his versatility, HE CAN STILL PLAY PF AT TIMES, and if Mo went to him and asked him to come off the bench I don't think it would hurt his ego or production. I know Thad doesn't have to move to the bench to swing to the 4, but it gives you another option if Elton is having a rough start. I can't understand why I haven't seen this much at all this year, does Mo think that now that we have front court depth he has to play everyone. If it ain't broke don't fix it, they had a lot of success last year with that smaller lineup. I'm not saying play Thad as Brand's backup but get him some more minutes in there. I don't want to see Thad's min decrease at all, they could probably jump up a bit if there is room.

Frankly, I don't see why Reggie Evans is getting any minutes at all, I love what he brings to the table and he is a very valuable part of the team, but he is Ronny Turiaf with no offensive game whatsoever. Give him two towels to wave and a gazoo, doesn't bother me. Give him a T-Shirt shotgun at the half, just split those 11 min between Thad and Speights, and why is Dalembert only playing 27 mpg? I think he should cut it down to a 9 man rotation as well.

Starters
MILLER
GREEN
IGUODALA
BRAND
DALEMBERT

Bench
IVEY
L. WILL
THAD
SPEIGHTS

I think alot of Looouuuu's struggles are because he is asked to facilatate the offense, he has been primarily Miller's back up and he isn't getting the oppuritunity to run off the ball. This kid isn't a PG. That's it, maybe one day but I doubt it. Bring in Ivey for Miller and let Lou come in and run off the ball or bring him in while Miller is still in. Have Thad sub the 3 and 4, and Speights at the 4 and 5. Rush, Evans and Ratliff save for when they are needed. If a team decides to go zone with every set than bring in Rush, if the other team's bench has Maxiell, Powe or Craig Smith on it, use Evans. If the opposition is driving really hard on the 2nd unit, bring Ratliff in.

Bottom Line: Sammy and Speights min need to increase. ( I give Sammy a hard time on here all the time b/c of if his bone head plays, but when he is in the game, team defense is much better and he should not be playing only 27 min a game. As soon as he gets pulled the layup drills start, even though Speights has done a good job). Thad should get more looks at the 4. Lou needs more opportunities to play of the ball, and the 2nd unit needs some one to be the go to guy, that can get a bucket when needed, not saying Willie G can't do that, but I think Thad could be the answer.

That was long, hopefully I never do that again. I don't know how you do it Rob.

Dannie, right now we are basicly playing without a backup point guard because of L.Will!s erratic play. Willie or Iggy seem to be running the offense with our second team; wouldn!t the simple solution be to play Ivey, a pure point, and allow Willie and Iggy/Thad to play their more natural spots on the floor. Once you establish this scenerio THAN interchange Rush and L.Will. with the 2 and 3 spots according to matchups. That is how I would approach it as a coach. As far as Marshall, to me he is nothing more than a last play 3 pt. shooter at this stage, when down 3 at the end of a game he has value but otherwise who do you sit for him.

SFW - Yeah this is something I am going to be paying extra attention to over the next few games. The one constant that 2one5 already mentioned is that Thad is typically the first guy to come out and his sub has been Willie Green. That rotation has been consistent and easy to see over the last few games. I want to start tracking who are the next starters to come out and who subs for them.

I think the rotations should be based on who we are playing. Maybe we should have an offensive 2nd unit out there say: Willie, Speights, Lou/Rush, Thad, Marshall.

Or maybe we want to go with a defensive approach and run with: Reggie, Theo, Ivey, Willie, Thad.

Mo needs evaluate the flow of the game and situation then pick a style of play he thinks will be the most effective against the opponent and create his line-up accordingly.

Guys, if Thad were removed from the starting lineup, which I would never do, than you have to put a shooter [Rush] out there to compensate to spread. Two wrongs don!t make a right though, so why mess with what is working, our starters.

Dannie, I agree with the opinion expressed earlier that the starting lineup should remain the same and the rotation off the bench should be restructured a bit. Haven't really analysed it thoroughly but change is a must.

Dannie - Understood. I think we still would be able to run up a lead, that squad would definitely be strong. I t would be the same lineup we won with last year, and Willie G is playing better. Then you have a quality efficient "starter" coming off the bench that can jump start the 2nd group. I agree that you put the best team on the floor the most minutes to win, but I would like to see it tried out if the 2nd unit continues to struggle, and Thad is def better than Willie.
