The Coolest Painting Ever

(click on picture for full size)

Many of you may have seen this painting already down at the ballpark. I saw it for the first time yesterday when I went down with Dannie. It is in the Suite/Diamond Club lobby, right above the stairs going down to the club.

I came home and was able to trace it to a artist named Jamie Cooper who, as you can see if you click through, did mostly Rugby paintings prior. Just an incredibly cool piece of art – I hope they start selling prints one day.

In case you can’t figure them all out, from Left to Right: Jimmy Rollins, Lenny Dykstra, Larry Bowa, Darren Daulton, Chase Utley, Cole Hamels, Steve Carlton, Ryan Howard, Chuck Klein, Del Ennis, Mike Schmidt, Dick Allen, Johnny Callison, Jim Bunning, Jim Konstanty, Robin Roberts, Pete “Grover Cleveland” Alexander, Tug McGraw, Bob Boone, Tony Taylor, Gary Maddux, Harry Kalas, Richie Ashburn. Sitting with the Phanatic are Paul Owens, Charlie Manuel and Dallas Green. And yes, the Rose on the table is a homage to Pete Rose.

I really appreciate you posting that picture.  I wasn’t aware of its exsistence.  All I can say is wow.  That is really and truly awesome.
