I beg to differ. If I'm not mistaken, Brent Barry won the slam dunk contest in 1997, by dunking from the foul line. Not only was he a white american born basketball player, he had a father and two brothers who were american born basketball players. His white credentials were all in order. Though I'm not sure if his slam dunk credentials were in order, I mean what the hell was he doing in the contest in the first place? When had you ever seen a sportscenter highlight of brent barry taking one to the rack? When had you ever seen a brent barry highlight that wasn't actually a highlight of someone else on his team but they managed to get a picture of him sitting on the bench in the background? I'm pretty sure he was over the line on that one also, but I'm also pretty sure no one's ever been disqualified from the slam dunk contest on a technicality, seeing as how Nate Robinson got about 15 chances two years ago to do an alley oop from a similarly short former slam dunk contest winner.
