Doug - I wish I was as optimistic as you about Nova and Jay Bilas has backed Nova getting in all week whenever the experts were saying Kentucky should be in.

Ultimately the team proved they were just too young this season which resulted in some bad loses to DePaul, Cincinnati, and worst of all Rutgers (ugh). Then they had a 5 game losing streak capped off by getting destroyed by hometown rival St. Joes. When you are in a power conference like the Big East all you really need to do is avoid the bad out of conference loses and be at least .500 in conference and your almost certaintly one of the last few teams in. Nova didn't take care of business this year out of conference and that will likely cost them. Toss in the crap calls against NC State and Gtown and that says to me Nova isn't going to keep the Big 5 streak alive. Relying on Temple and St. Joes now.

There were a huge # of bubble teams losing yesterday: Zona/AzSt./Oregon/Dayton/Baylor/OleMiss/Florida/UAB/UMass...i'm prob being a homer, but i still like Nova's chances at an 'at large', even after getting blown out by Gtown.
