I had mixed feelings about it before today but I am excited to see him play on monday now that its official
I think this gives a great chance for fans to connect with the other players on the team as well. I don’t think Brand has played in front of a sellout here yet. Maybe the excitement can get he and Thad to raise there games.

This may be the first time I’ve been genuinely pumped up to watch a Sixers game since they tried to sell us on the AI – C-Webb experiment in ’05. Key words that Dannie said I enjoyed:

“I can’t wait to see him try.” Doesnt matter how much of a mess this thing is…a one year rental of a former Philly hero attempt to end his career with a bang is something I’ll pay to see any night. He’s not taking away minutes from anyone. Jrue will still (hopefully) get his 15 mpg. Let’s see how much an ultra pissed off with 8000 chips on his shoulder AI has left in his tank when he plays the Nuggets who traded him.

Will be a very emotional victory if we take that game and he plays well. Welcome back AI. You’ve been missed.

Dannie: ‘I don’t know. But I can’t wait to see him try.’ — there you go. hit the nail on the head. i dont think the emerging crowd are delirious enough to expect a magical playoff run but they know he will give it his best shot. at least he gives a damn.

It was good to see a humble Ivy at the presser. However, beyond that I’m not happy or excited to see Ivy a Sixer again. Stepanski screwed up when he didn’t have a reasonable back up plan for PG. Injuries are injuries so nothing can be done about that. It’s a good thing the Sixers have a five win lead over the Nets.

That was one of the best pressers I’ve seen in a minute. AI is 100% raw truth, no filter or polish, just real.
Of course, your photos remind me of the other reason he is so beloved. How many NBA players are the same height as the people that are interviewing them(excluding Sager), much less superstars?
If only the Sixers had Thibodeau or Turner to turn up the defensive heat and let these scorers do their thing, we could’ve had something. They were top 8 just 2 years ago! Maybe its not too late. Maybe Stefanski might man up and dump his boy, get a defense-first guy and Sixers make a run and become a darkhorse…
Pipe dreams, maybe.
